A Houston Chronicle sports reporter faces new criminal charges of attempted sexual assault of a child. Hunter Atkins was previously arrested on Dec. 22, 2019, for harboring a runaway. Investigators say Atkins began chatting with a 15-year-old girl on Instagram last December. He was arrested Thursday near the 100 block of Chelsea Boulevard, in the city's Museum District. "I will always work to preserve and protect children's innocence," said Constable Alan Rosen in a Facebook post. "Predators will not be tolerated," he added.
