Hon. Eric Dick

Bio
The Honorable Eric Dick is a distinguished Houston-based attorney and founder of Dick Law Firm, PLLC, where he has successfully represented thousands of homeowners in disputes involving denied or underpaid property insurance claims. With deep expertise in insurance law and litigation strategy, Eric is recognized for his aggressive, honest, and creative approach to protecting policyholders’ rights—earning him multiple recognitions as a Super Lawyers® Rising Star.
Eric's professional journey is a testament to resilience and drive. In his twenties, he worked as a Papa John’s pizza delivery driver, always holding onto big dreams and a commitment to helping others. That same commitment now fuels his legal practice and public service. A lifelong learner, Eric began an MBA at Rice University during the COVID-19 pandemic and is currently pursuing a Master of Quantitative Management at Duke University.
Beyond the courtroom, Eric is deeply committed to community impact. He served in an unpaid, elected role as a trustee of the Harris County Department of Education, later becoming Vice President and President of the board. During his tenure, he championed initiatives such as the creation of Texas's first public recovery high school, a literacy advancement campaign, and a reimbursement program for teachers who purchase classroom supplies. Under his leadership, the board consistently lowered the tax rate and expanded services for special needs education.
Eric is also the author of a book on Texas history and holds licenses as an attorney, insurance agent, and real estate agent. His well-rounded background and industry insight make him a trusted advocate in complex insurance matters.
Eric lives in Houston with his wife, Danielle, and their three children: Grace, Caroline, and Liam.
