I've been at odds with this organization for the past three months. During a repair at their business, one of their insureds broke my engine block. They don't follow through on their promises. It took more than a week of contacting many times a day to obtain a response. The claim was passed on to the new man, who had no idea what was going on. He's always responded by saying he'll check back in the following week. Now he's being pursued by supervisors, attempting to make it appear as if I didn't do anything I was supposed to. They're also attempting to dupe me into signing a document that releases them from responsibility for whatever they're supposed to payout. He yelled at me as soon as I notified the person handling my claim that I had spoken with a lawyer. A supervisor was meant to call me, and I'm waiting for them to do what they're supposed to do once more. I would not suggest this business to anyone.

Over the phone, it's great, but there's no action. I've been phoning my claims manager for over a week and have not heard back from him or his supervisors. It's disappointing to receive such an answer when you're desperate for assistance. Insurance should, in my opinion, be purchased elsewhere.

The worst insurance company I've ever encountered. A business vehicle representing GUARD t-boned my wife and daughter's family vehicle in the middle of the day. The driver was issued a citation, and an insurance claim was filed. After four months, the full amount of the claim is still being denied. The driver was found guilty, repairs on my vehicle began, and we could not obtain assistance with the final price and lost value. I'm without a family automobile, my wife and children are harmed and traumatized, and I now need to involve lawyers and the BBB to get a corporation to do the RIGHT thing. Scott Lewis, Kevin Ware, Heather White, and Ryan P lied about my claim's communication and displayed bias by overpromising and underdelivering. They refused to pay the entire amount owing and hired inexperienced individuals to inspect and recondition vehicles. In addition, no GUARD insurance official has called my wife (the injured party) to follow up on medical care in the last four months. IF YOU'RE SHOPPING FOR INSURANCE, STAY AWAY!

I recently filed a claim with this firm and have received no response in almost a month. My claim representative's name is Moyra Diego, and I've left countless voicemails, written numerous emails, and called numerous times with no response. I'm not sure what the status is now, and the firm doing the repairs has no idea what's going on or why it's taking so long. The level of customer service is simply unacceptably low. When I finally reach someone who can assist me, they tell me that I need to speak with Moyra because no one else has any information. They must keep paper files because no one has access to my account to provide me with updates. You should probably search for work outside of customer service if you didn't answer calls to claims promptly.

Armguard provided general liability and workers' compensation coverage. Despite paying hefty premiums, I was audited every year and forced to pay more. I demonstrated lower risk in the first two audits and successfully negotiated a lower price, but I still had to pay extra just to keep my coverage. The third audit (based on what I paid for my premium) was ludicrous, and it attempted to argue that there was no risk increase because of what I paid for my premium. However, they refused to trust me and demanded that I pay the whole audit fee to have the redline removed. You must do what they say and pay whatever ludicrous charge they come up with, or they will ensure that you cannot conduct your business. ????\s

I'm not one to post reviews, but this company has given me many sleepless nights worrying about my insurance coverage. One of them was last night. I've always assumed that having insurance would help you sleep better. My house and business policies were canceled in 2022, not because of claims (I haven't filed any in decades), but because of the red line. My home and business are located in a wooded region, so I'm guessing they were concerned about a loss. This company has no sense of loyalty. I'm hoping that what they're doing to people will eventually catch up with them. Ps, They are deserving of a 0 rating.

I joined this company through my employer, and the rates were reasonable; nonetheless, it was convenient to sign up; however, don't ever have any problems with this company because if you do, the claim response time and communication from this company is utterly insane. I've been driving for over 30 years and have never encountered an insurance company as disrespectful and uncommunicative as this one. It's been about 90 days, and they still haven't paid out on my claim, even though it's only $1500. They don't seem to care that the vehicle damaged in a one mph collision is a service vehicle that I'll make a living in. I'm perplexed and perplexed by the manner this place does business. I hope no one else has to go through what I've gone through with this company.??????

The worst insurance company you'll ever deal with. My claim was filed in February when Texas was declared a national disaster. They haven't done much in the last ten months. When I call, I seldom speak with an adjuster; they routinely "lose" emailed paperwork; no one knows what's going on with my claim, and I usually have to wait AT LEAST 30 minutes to speak with someone. Adjustors never return calls, and they frequently make errors in shipping, billing, and other areas. There isn't a dedicated adjuster I can call, and when I do, it's customer service, who puts me online for hours waiting to speak with an adjuster who has no idea what's going on and promises to check in and call, but never does. Submitting a complaint to TDI.

I called the claims department because I had a wind and hail claim. They put me on hold with a claims subcontractor who kept giving me the runaround. They insisted that the hail damage was not widespread enough to warrant reimbursement over my deductible. On the other hand, the roofer assured me that it was true and even showed me images to prove it. This does not appear to be a reputable insurance company. They simply substitute everything. Everyone takes turns passing the buck. No one is responsible for doing their job. I dropped them and went elsewhere for a more respectable insurance company.

They promised to send a specialist to assess the damage to the automobile, but they never showed up or communicated with us! I've attempted to contact them recently but have received no response! Through one of Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies' representatives, I purchased Workers Compensation Insurance. According to the payroll information, they were expected to be paid a monthly premium. Even though my company had no employees throughout the coverage period, they could collect about $60 from the payroll. We decided to terminate the policy, but a year later, we received a payment request for about $2,800. A valid workers' compensation insurance policy will never cost more than $500 per year. It's a complete rip-off.

Don't use GUARD for your home insurance; you'll end up paying, but when it comes to paying out claims, they'll make your life a living hell by outsourcing claims processing to NARS, North American Risk Services. Customer service is terrible; they never respond to emails or voicemails. If you don't want to lose money, stay away!

Without a doubt, the WORST customer service I've ever encountered. I am yet to hear how to proceed with the damage caused by a windstorm nine days after filing a claim. The customer service representative I spoke with was disrespectful and hung up on me when I called to inquire about my adjuster after leaving 11 voicemails in 9 days. My agent is already trying to switch insurance companies for me because this was outrageous. This company has coverage for the at-fault motorist. The worst part was that my adjuster never returned my calls or emails. I tried contacting her bosses, but they never returned my calls! After getting into an accident with their driver, I submitted a diminished value claim with this firm, and they filed the claim and had a fixed amount I was getting back. They requested that I produce my vehicle's title, which I did; they also requested that I sign a paper, which I did; and for some reason, they needed the lienholder to sign as well, which they refused to do. I told the adjuster about it, but she didn't seem to mind; she just responded, "Oh, that's our policy before we can release monies." Any other insurance company would not demand any of this nonsense, and neither does the law! They simply refuse to pay, which is absurd! I'm going to get an attorney to help me fight this. This is a company I would never suggest to anyone!!!

Horrible insurance does not hire dodgy characters. We had this company for five months when they informed us that there were concerns with the exterior of our home and that we should remedy them or our policy would be canceled. At the same time, our representative informed us that rates had increased. We rectified the problems, cleared it, and then said they required images of the inside because they couldn't go inside due to covid. We took pictures, and they were all fine. The circuit breakers were to be photographed next. I inquired why, given that it was on the outside and that everything should have been done at the initial inspection. So we didn't pass after submitting those because they didn't fit their requirements. We couldn't receive an answer when we asked what that meant. Our breaker panel is brand new and less than ten years old. This company should not be used. Very poor service.

This company is the most unprofessional organization I've ever dealt with. I was wounded at a restaurant they represent, and after filing a report, they advised me to go to the ER, which I did. I sent them my medical bills, and I have yet to be reimbursed three months later. I didn't sue them for anything, not even for pain and suffering. I'm only attempting to get reimbursed for the hospital bills I paid out of pocket. Erika G*****, my claim adjuster, is either the busiest person I've ever met, or she deliberately ignores my calls, voicemails, and emails. At this point, I'm ready to give up and hire an attorney to deal with them. I don't mind if I don't get paid as long as they pay a lot more than they would if they dealt directly with me.

Isn't this the worst Berkshire Hathaway insurance you've ever seen?

My mother's water pipe burst in the garage area ceiling during the winter storm that hit Texas on February 17, 2021, causing water to run to numerous parts of the house ceiling, causing damage to the kitchen, living room, and one of the rooms and restrooms ceilings. Sheetrock should be replaced. Damages are estimated to be around $50,000. I've been trying to contact the insurance company in every way possible. I've called multiple times every day and sent emails, and they ignore my emails. When I call, calls don't go through, and when they do, they transfer me to someone who cannot help me. I've sent them two different estimates from different companies, and they have sent me nothing. There are two different adjustors. I'm not sure when they'll pay my mom because she's old and can't live in these conditions because there's mold due to the water. Dámages are used to demolish walls. I even hired a lawyer to see if they could help, but the insurance company has yet to answer my lawyer about my claim.

I want to alert people about this organization. My experience would take an eternity to describe, but to cut a long story short, my homeowner's claim was ignored for nearly three months and handled horribly. It took three months for an adjuster to come out to my house, and by that time, most of the repairs had been completed. The compensation took over a month to arrive, and they failed to include a significant portion of my damage, namely the tile in my bathroom. During the Texas winter storm, my home was devastated, so I understand the backlog. However, no one ever answered the phone when I called. I phoned daily. When I called, they would sometimes inform me that they were backed up with another storm that had occurred after the winter storm. This is not a corporation to join. They'll make an excuse after excuse for you. Your phone calls and emails will go unanswered. Even though I was quite meticulous with my photographs and estimations, they continued to push for more and more. I make every effort to reach them. Every time I call, I am courteous. I have yet to receive a call.
