I've reached my breaking point. After months of watching Outfront Media use their Houston billboards to spread lies about President Trump and push Democrat propaganda, Dick Law Firm is immediately terminating all advertising contracts with Outfront Media, effective today.
I'm Tired of Funding Lies About Trump
For the past year, I've watched Outfront Media's billboards throughout Houston perpetuate every false narrative about President Trump that the mainstream media could manufacture. From debunked Russia collusion claims to misleading characterizations of January 6th, from fake "threat to democracy" messaging to outright lies about his policies—Outfront has given premium billboard placement to organizations spreading anti-Trump propaganda.
As a Republican elected official and a business owner who's spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with Outfront Media over the years, I'm done subsidizing their lies.
The Pattern of Deception
Drive around Houston and look at Outfront's billboards. You'll see "voter education" campaigns that mysteriously only fact-check Trump while giving Democrats a free pass. You'll see "nonpartisan" messaging that happens to echo every Democrat talking point about the election. You'll see "public service" announcements that just happen to promote the exact narratives being pushed by CNN and MSNBC.
This isn't advertising—it's activism with a billboard budget.
Following My Conscience
As I wrote today about pulling advertising from Houston's biased television stations, I cannot in good conscience continue to fund organizations that are actively working to mislead the voters I was elected to serve. Every dollar Dick Law Firm spends with Outfront Media is a dollar that funds their anti-Trump propaganda machine.
The financial impact is significant. Our Outfront contracts represent over $200,000 in annual outdoor advertising spend across prime Houston locations. These billboards have been crucial for reaching potential clients throughout Harris County who need help fighting insurance companies.
But I'd rather lose business than fund lies.
The Coordinated Attack on Trump
What makes this even more disturbing is how Outfront Media coordinates with the same biased television and print media I've already called out. The same false narratives about Trump that KHOU, KRIV, and KPRC push in their newscasts show up on Outfront billboards within days. The same misleading polls and "expert analysis" get amplified across multiple media platforms.
This is a coordinated campaign to defeat Trump through misinformation, and I refuse to be part of it.
The Real Trump Record
While Outfront's billboards spread lies about Trump being a "threat to democracy," the truth is that Trump delivered:
- Historic economic growth before COVID
- Energy independence for America
- No new wars
- Secure borders
- Conservative Supreme Court justices
- The Abraham Accords bringing peace to the Middle East
Instead of highlighting these achievements, Outfront Media chooses to promote Democrat messaging that portrays Trump as some kind of villain. They're not informing Houston voters—they're trying to manipulate them.
A Message to Houston Business Owners
Fellow business owners, ask yourselves: Are your advertising dollars supporting companies that share your values? When you advertise with Outfront Media, you're not just buying billboard space—you're funding a political operation that's working overtime to defeat conservative candidates and values.
Every dollar you spend with them is a contribution to the Democrat campaign machine.
Standing on Principle
Some will say I'm letting politics interfere with business. But there's a difference between politics and truth. When an advertising company uses their platform to spread lies about political candidates—lies that could influence the most important election of our lifetime—that's not politics, that's propaganda.
I took an oath to serve the people of Harris County honestly. I can't do that while funding organizations that lie to those same people.
What I'm Doing Instead
Dick Law Firm will be moving our outdoor advertising budget to local companies that focus on serving their customers rather than pushing political agendas. We'll invest more in digital marketing, radio advertising with honest stations, and direct community outreach.
Will this hurt our business? Probably. But I'd rather build a law firm based on principle than one subsidized by propaganda.
A Call to Action
I'm calling on other Houston business owners to examine where their advertising dollars are going. If you support President Trump, if you believe in honest media, if you're tired of your money funding lies—then stop giving it to companies like Outfront Media that are working against everything you believe in.
Use your economic power to support honest communication and fair treatment of all political candidates.
The Bottom Line
Five days before the most important election of our lifetime, I'm not going to sit quietly while my advertising dollars fund an anti-Trump propaganda campaign. Outfront Media has shown their true colors, and those colors aren't red, white, and blue—they're blue through and through.
I'm done funding the lie machine. I'm done subsidizing anti-Trump propaganda. And I'm done pretending that "business is business" when that business involves spreading falsehoods about the man who should be our next President.
Houston deserves better. Conservative business owners deserve better. And President Trump deserves honest coverage instead of coordinated lies.
