They dismissed my claim the first time I tried to file one. My refrigerator had a gradual leak behind it, but no water was seeping out. We moved the fridge after smelling a musty odor and discovered the leak. Because of its location, it had damaged a kitchen cabinet, a closet wall, a pantry wall, and a hall closet. They denied it because I should have known, yet there was no leak, no odor, no nothing until it was discovered. I reported it as soon as I discovered it. It's infuriating to pay insurance for years only to deny your first claim. They take premiums but are absent when you require assistance. If I could, I'd give it a zero.

I've been treated ever since I made a claim. I'm having trouble getting anyone to respond to my calls. It took over a year for me to get my claim started. It is still open since work cannot be completed. They sent the check to the incorrect mortgage firm. It took a month to solve that. With no reps, you'll never get anywhere. Extremely impolite and unprofessional. I've never had a bad experience with the Ins business.

Liberty Mutual charged me 630 per month for homeowners' insurance through Ocwen and PHH Mortgage Co. for more than 15 years. For 17 years, I paid 630 per month. Now that I've switched to Allstate, I pay roughly $130 per month for better coverage. My mortgage loan is now twice what I paid for the house because of Liberty Mutual. They took advantage of me since I didn't know any better.

My roof has been harmed by heavy rain from many storms. I followed Liberty Mutual's processes and submitted a claim on the company's website. I've uploaded photos and a repair quote from a local roofer. I've been waiting nearly 60 days for an inspector to come to my house. I'm still adding photographs and remarks to the webpage. My house is still dripping with water.

Liberty Mutual homeowner insurance should be avoided. Instead of RCV, they give you ACV (Actual Cash Value) for your roof (replacement cost value). Unless you know the situation, you will not know what it is about until you file your claim. If you replace your roof, the expense will not be fully reimbursed. The value of your old roof will be depreciated and deducted from the cost of a new roof. i.e., you pay an additional fee out of your wallet. According to their assertion, Liberty Mutual will only do this to Texas citizens! If you have Liberty Mutual insurance, be prepared to speak with that Emu if you have a claim!

Liberty Mutual has not fully compensated my home. They spent more on siding and a patio door, and thousands of dollars reduced their payments. They haven't been able to explain why. According to a public adjuster, insurance companies are not permitted to do this, yet they have. They have refused to cooperate with my contractor to compensate me for the damages to my home. Within a few months, they revised the carpet pricing three times. They reduced the price too. Seventy-nine cents per square foot before raising it to $6.13 once the carpet was delivered to Itel. They granted $33K+ for siding the first year but then reduced it the next year after I submitted a contractor's estimate for more.

They slashed the price to just $20,000. They eliminated previously paid line items from future updates. They constantly reassign my claim to new persons who are unfamiliar with it. I requested them to explain how they arrived at the sums on the claim detail, but they refused to tell me what legal authority they had to go in and change the claim merely.

They also split my claim, and it took over four years for insurance to recognize that I required a new roof. They haven't added O & P to the second claim, covering more than three trades. For four years, my insurance company denied that there was internal damage to numerous areas of my home due to storm damage to the roof. Then I was told that the inside damage to the living room ceiling was pre-existing until 2020 when a claims adjustor accepted it was fair to have water damage to the interior when the roof was damaged.

I have 37 years of experience as a registered nurse. As an RN, I've dealt with numerous emergencies over the years. If I were in need, I'd hope that help would be available. Liberty Mutual Insurance Company's claims department, unfortunately, disappointed me. There was a big Thunder and Lightning rainstorm on July 6, 2020. As a result, lightning struck my air conditioning unit. Because I was at home at the incident, I know this. My circuit breaker had tripped, and my air conditioner could not cool my home. I phoned Amstel, an HVAC business, and the technician confirmed that the unit had been grounded and the terminals had been burned due to the lightning. John "Clint" ** filed a claim with Liberty Mutual Insurance.

I was told that Liberty Mutual would need to send HVAC investigators to my house -Ben ** 888-407-5224 extension ** -to look at the system. Their technician came inside my house without wearing a mask (Covid). He discovered that the damage was due to natural wear and tear. The results of the HVAC investigators were opposed to those of Amstel. In the meantime, because the temperature in Delaware is between 95 and 100 degrees, I bought four portable air conditioners. On July 15, 2020, I scheduled a conference call with John Clint **, Ben **, John **, and myself.

My claim was refused because Liberty Mutual trusted the HVAC investigators' testimony and opted to disregard Amstel's report that the terminals were burned off due to the storm's lightning. As a customer, I hoped that Liberty Mutual, my insurance company for many years, would be able to help me in my time of need. I'm not surprised Liberty Mutual chose to trust the firm they hired. THEY WILL SAVE $8000!!!

In May of 2018, a heavy hailstorm hit. Independent estimators were sprinkled throughout our neighborhood, but they wouldn't touch mine because Liberty Mutual insured me, so I had to employ their property professionals. A new roof was installed within a month, but the rest of the job was neglected. A leak was discovered a few weeks after the new roof was built. A year later, after black mold had developed, the leak was rectified. I've dealt with three professional property reps, including the owner, who accomplished nothing for the two weeks he was here and lied and failed to show up when he said he would on multiple occasions.

About a year later, the siding was built, and it was damaged, as the gutters were not fitted properly and developed leaks behind the gutter. Because the roof was being installed for so long, it killed many plants and flowers surrounding the house. Due to the shingle debris getting into my pond and the fish digesting it, I lost 12 Koi fish. Back to the leak, instead of fixing the drywall, they sprayed something on it and then covered it with drywall mud. Instead, I had had enough and fired them all, opting for a cash settlement. Liberty Mutual offers competitive rates, but you'd best pray you never need to file a claim. I subsequently learned that independent contractors would not work for Liberty Mutual since their payment mechanism took over six months to collect.

During the latter week of February or the first week of March, a Liberty Mutual representative came to my house and asked my partner whether it was okay to look around and take pictures. Later that day, he inquired if I was aware of the Liberty Mutual visit, and I told him no because I hadn't been informed. The following week, the inspection notification letter arrived on March 9, 2020. "At this moment, no action is required," the letter added. Furthermore, the letter was dated February 28 but did not arrive for another ten days, well after the visit. This appears to be a devious event.

I also spoke with a neighbor who has Liberty Mutual as well. The annual fee for the neighbor was $6,000. If comparable incidents occurred in the same area, these activities could be redlined. I thought it was required by law to ensure that the recipient of the inspection notice received it before the inspector arrived. They have acted inappropriately and have shown a lack of professionalism.
